The future of the Earth is predictable and presumably inevitable. The environment is being destroyed, and climate change will not be stopped. Disputes between countries are on the rise, and the gap between rich and poor leads to further tensions. Religious conflicts don't make the situation any easier.
Can Art Instigate Change?
Tinkering with causality is intriguing. For example, if I send the cans to someone and that person then shows them to their friends, I create a change in the cause-effect chain - always under the assumption of free will. After all, you have read this and most likely dealt with the content of the cans. Now it's up to you to decide whether the interaction with this website could exert influence on your personal causal chain. Keep the chaos theory in mind while viewing the Earth-Cans and this text as the flap of the butterfly's wings. Let's see what happens.
Comments and References to Minor Errors
I apologize for a few logical inconsistencies that you may have discovered. The term alien is used incorrectly in the text of the website and on the cans. Technically, we are the aliens for the others and vice versa. The little stick figures are both aliens and humans. Which, of course, doesn't add up. Whereby "male" is not correct either. On the Earth-Cans, the little stick figures represent wretched sexless alien slaves. On the website, these depict exploited children and people as well as politicians. I hope this is okay!
